Description
Starting at the "top" of the house, you'll find the guest bedroom, den/office, guest bath with tub/shower and laundry room which leads into the two car garage. Down three steps and you're in the dining room, entry, kitchen, master bath with jacuzzi and master walk-in closet level. Another three steps from the entry hall leads down to the large living room with tall fireplace, immense windows and half-wall surround....and off the Master Bath and dressing room, three more steps lead down to the Master Bedroom with its own fireplace and private bricked patio.

Surrounding the home are outdoor living areas so perfect for the climate of Santa Fe....in the front of the house is a large walled brick patio with gardens and fruit trees....and off the dining room is a 40-foot covered brick patio perfect for whiling away the hours with a good book or for throwing a party!

Location
Just 7 minutes from downtown Santa Fe going west on Alameda Street, in an area of horse farms and open land, House of Blue Doors is one of 36 homes in a development of custom built residences on 2-3 acre sites. Each home is unique and all are sited in such a way that views and privacy are maintained. And because all the homes fit so well into the hilling land dotted with pinons and junipers, there is a feeling of being "in the country". Roads have been purposely left unpaved to secure that feeling.

The House Itself is at the end of the cul-de-sac and is set back from the road. There is an arroyo running through the property on the north side which gives it definition from the neighbors, and the windows have been placed to allow a minimum of site lines to other houses.

Payment Procedures
GUEST RENTAL AGREEMENT


* When we have agreed on the dates of your rental, you will be sent by mail a formal rental agreement which must be returned to us by the dates noted on the agreement (usually within 10 days of the booking) along with a security/damage deposit check for $700. This agreement will also set forth the terms of the rental and conditions of payment. When we receive your signed rental agreement and the security deposit, we will send directions to the house, the location of the key and any information you require.

* Check In is after 4 PM; Check Out is at 10 AM promptly.

Cancellations and Refunds
CANCELLATION and REFUNDS


* Confirmed reservations are non-refundable (even if the final payment has not yet been paid) unless the house is re-rented for the same length of time at the same rate.


If the House IS Re-rented as stated above:


* A full refund, minus a 10% handling fee, will be made.
* No refund will be made if the cancellation is less than 15 days prior to arrival whether or not the house is re-rented.
* Guests are accountable for their reserved dates, regardless of late arrival or early departure.

Deposits
DEPOSIT & PAYMENT


* 50% of the rental fee is due at the time of the reservation, plus a $700 security/damage deposit which will be returned within one month of the date of departure if the house is found in satisfactory condition and there have been no phone calls charged to the house phone. Final payment is due 60 days prior to the arrival date.

Our vacation rental is available all year (Please check our availability at the bottom of this page).
Until confirmed, prices are subject to change without notice. Rates do not include a New Mexico Sales Tax of 6.4375%, but they do include cleaning fees.
 
All Weekly Rentals are based on a Saturday to Saturday schedule, but please call us if you need a different schedule.
 ALL BOOKINGS HAVE A ONE WEEK MINIMUM.
The daily price is for bookings that are more than one week but less than two weeks, etc.
Monthly bookings are for a four-week schedule (28 days), not the actual days in the month.

Notes and Additional Information
POLICIES


* Children are welcome, but will be counted as adults. The house has not been child-proofed as we feel parents are the best judge of their own children and will use common sense in setting art or other objects aside that might be tempting to youngsters.
* We can allow only a maximum of 6 persons (in 2 queen beds and a twin trundle bed)
* Sorry, no pets (breaking this rule will result in an automatic forfeiture of your security/damage deposit)
* No Smoking inside the house (breaking this rule will result in an automatic forfeiture of your security/damage deposit)
* Until confirmed, Rates are subject to change without notice
* Reservations are from Saturday to Saturday...but please inquire if you need a different schedule particularly during low season.

HOUSEKEEPING


* Our rates include a thorough cleaning of the home prior to your arrival and a similar cleaning following your departure. We allow a charge of $100 to cover this expense which is usually sufficient and is included in our rates. Should the home need cleaning beyond this allowance because of the condition in which it was left, the rentor will be responsible for the additional expense and it will be deducted from the security/damage deposit.
