Description
Tucked away on a quiet street, away from all the traffic, yet close to the beach. Walk to local restaurants, close to Old Orchard, Biddeford Pool, shopping outlets and theme parks. The 7 mile beach is only a short walk from cottage (approx 900 feet). Relax on the deck that is set on a peaceful street that is home for some historic cottages dating back into the 1800's. View the tidal marsh at high tide right from the 2nd floor balcony. Enjoy the spectacular sunsets. Fully equipped kitchen makes meals easy to prepare, cook and clean. 2 couches offer room for 6 to sit and watch a movie in the evening or walk to 1 of 3 restaurants. 3 spacious bedrooms upstairs with pillow-top mattresses make resting for your next day easy. There are 2 queen beds and 1 bunk bed (bunk bed has 1 full mattress and 1 twin). We are fully licensed and registered with the State of Maine and Town of Saco
Location
The beach remains uncrowded all season with plenty of room for relaxing or building sand castles. Find many treasures while walking from sea glass to starfish and sand dollars. You may even spot a harbor seal nearby. A short walking distance from the beach will bring you to a mile long rock jetty for fishing and sunset pictures. In the Village of Camp Ellis there are 3 restaurants (1 open year round), and 2 gift shops. Leave the dock on whale watch or go deep sea fishing. There is a place to rent kayaks for the day on the Saco River as it heads out to the ocean. Local general store that features daily lobster catch during season and will steam it for you while you wait. 3 minute drive to Old Orchard Beach with many shops and an amusement park. 10 to 15 minute drive to 2 theme parks such as Fun Town Splash Town. Drive-in movie theater, daily flea markets, shops and restaurants. ***New For 2007*** New balcony has been added on 2nd floor for better view of Villiage and salt marsh
