The Ormsby House is located in Black Bart section of South Lake Tahoe off of Pioneer Trail. There is a superb view of the meadow, mountains, and Trout Creek from the 55-foot deck. You can cross-country ski, snow shoe, or go for a hike from right out the back door. The Ormsby House went through a $100,000 remodel in 2006. Some of the new changes include: new double paned windows, replaced the aging carpet with heated travertine floors in 4 rooms, remodeled all the bathrooms with new sinks, flooring, timed heat lamps, fixtures, and paint, high end mirrored closet doors in 6 of the bedrooms, new TV’s, remodeled kitchen with new stainless steel fridge with icemaker and filtered water, new stove, new dishwasher and garbage disposal, new sink with fixtures and automatic hot water, and new granite countertops, new heating system, improved the décor with new furniture and window coverings and artwork, added a wet bar downstairs, removed wood paneling in the two large rooms downstairs, new landscaping for the front and back yards, and lots and lots of other great changes.
