Blue Skies Inn is situated in a small mountain city at the base of Pikes Peak, with good access to the entire Colorado Front Range. Our ten three-room suites feature luxurious private bathrooms with spacious tiled showers, bathtubs or Jacuzzis. Some suites have gas fireplaces, and all suites feature a private sitting room, private or semi-private entrances and all modern electronic conveniences -- TV/VCR, cable, phone/data port in suite, and FAX and copier on site. Landscaped grounds have flower gardens and a charming gazebo containing a large hottub open to the sky.
Location
Blue Skies Inn is strategically situated in Manitou Springs, a small mountain city nestled at the base of Pikes Peak. Our inn is isolated from the hustle and bustle of cosmopolitan Colorado Springs but has easy access to the entire Denver-Colorado Springs-Pueblo metroplex. Our city was founded in 1873 by Dr. William Bell who established a health resort centered around the city’s many artesian mineral springs. Manitou Springs still maintains that mystique of mountainous isolation and small-town charm.
Blue Skies Inn is unique because it is located on the secluded estate called Briarhurst that the city’s founder built for his family in the heart of the city. Our inn is clustered around Dr. Bell\'s carriage house, while his handsome red stone mansion is now a restaurant next door. Towering willows and cottonwoods stand along Fountain Creek which runs through the south side of our site, and beyond that leafy border lies historic downtown Manitou Springs. Our grounds feature lawns, flower gardens, a splashing waterfall, charming gazebo surrounding a large hottub open to the sky, and a hillside covered with hundred year-old scrub oak.
