Description
Our Petit Manan Point shore cottage is located 40 miles north of Bar Harbor/Acadia National Park on a thin finger of land jutting out in to the north Atlantic. Situated on 1 3/4 acres, our traditional Maine fisherman\\\'s cottage was completely renovated in 1998 and offers comfortable, modern accommodations on the Maine shore. Our cottage has more than 350\\\' of rocky and sandy shore and overlooks Bois Bubert Island, Petit Manan Island lighthouse, and the north Atlantic. Petit Manan National Wildlife Reguge is only 1/2 mile away at the end of our two lane blacktop road. Watch eagles, ospreys, loons, puffins, eiders, murres, sanderlings, herons, and dozens of other waterbirds, shore birds, and songbirds on our beach, in the Refuge and on neighboring islands. 325 species have been identified in Petit Manan NWLR, more than in any other U.S. national wildlife refuge.
Our cottage sleeps up to six persons comfortably: 2 in a master bedroom on the first floor; two in twin beds in a second floor bedroom with views of the bay; and two in a pull-out queen sleeper in the Great Room. 25\\\' of windows in the Great Room provide expansive, uninterrupted views of Pigeon Hill Bay, Bois Bubert Island, Petit Manan Island Lighthouse, and the north Atlantic. Watch local lobstermen pull their traps and eagles soar over the bay.
Kitchen has full size range and oven, full size refrigerator with ice maker, toaster oven, microwave, coffee maker and coffee grinder, and all the kitchenware, dishware, and silverware you need to enjoy your stay. Bath has full shower/bath combination. Guests must provide only their own bed linens and towels.

Our cottage is located 40 miles north of the Bar Harbor/ Acadia National Park/Ellsworth area. We are 7 miles from Milbridge, ME and 5.1 miles off U.S. 1 on a two lane blacktop, dead-end road. We are about 60 miles from Bangor, ME, 150 miles from Portland, ME, and 75 miles south of maritime Canada.
