Connecticut : Bozrah
Bozrah, Connecticut
The tourism industry is one of the strongest and most successful industry niches in eastern Connecticut. With scenic maritime locations, quaint bed and breakfasts, limitless historical and art museums, two of the world's largest casinos, and much more, eastern Connecticut is quickly becoming one of New England's hottest destinations.
Situated just west of Norwich, of which it once was a part, Bozrah is a rural residential community that became established as a separate municipality in 1786. Bozrah's history is bound up in the growth of distinct villages. Fitchville, along the Yantic River, named for Asa Fitch was the site of a cotton mill, store, schoolhouse, gristmill and more. It remains the site of the present-day town hall.
