Northern Georgia has mountain ranges and the flowing waters of the Tallulah River. In addition to trout streams and splendid mountains, this area contains many Civil War battle fields, and an authentic gold mining town. The southernmost tip of the Appalachian Trail extends into the northern mountain ranges of Georgia. These mountains offer some great white water rafting throughout the year. Starting in the north and flowing towards the west is the Chattahoochee River which is great for all sorts of activities.
