Hills, mountains and deserts highlight the diverse landscape of Idaho. The Snake River runs through part of the state and visitors can enjoy the cool waters of Bear Lake. Other landscape includes the Craters of the Moon that is set at the edge of the mountains. This area of southern Idaho is known for fishing, camping, hiking and exploring, all under the backdrop of mountains that are snow-capped ten months out of the year.

Central Idaho is the location of the famous Sun Valley ski resort. The skiing here during the winter is incredible and during the summer the resort offers almost every type of outdoor activity imaginable. The Salmon River is great for braving the rapids that dances around the base of the mountains. The Snake River is to the south and provides excellent scenic views as it descends into the Snake River Canyon.

Also in the south is Boise, the state capital. This fine city has much to offer including, city parks, camping, fishing and museums. Lake Coeur d'Alene is in the northern panhandle of Idaho and is one of the most beautiful lakes in the nation. This is also the home of American bald eagle and innumerable other species of wildlife that are an absolute joy to behold.
