Montana is known for being rugged, isolated,
lightly populated, natural and big. Custer and the Seventh
Calvary came to their demise in this state and the Missouri
River has its beginning here. The state is home to grizzly
bears, ghost towns, buffalo, badlands, ranches, geological
sites, cowboys and Indians. The state is large and full
of natural beauty and historic sites to behold.
The different seasons in this state bring
very different views and vistas. During winter, the snow
covers the mountains and plains and visitors can enjoy
a snowmobile ride, hot springs and ski areas. Spring can
bring a mix of weather but the mountain wildflowers are
out in full force. Visitors can also get out and enjoy
the natural scenery by fishing, hiking, climbing and camping.
